Pool Side

NC is significantly warmer than NE.  Today, I spent a few hours outside reading before taking a dip in the pool.  It's open until mid-October.

My new iPhone just arrived at my office. I cannot wait to get home and get it set up. It's sooo pretty!

First bits of color change

The tree outside my bedroom window is just starting to go orangey brown at the tips. This morning the air was cool and smelled so much like fall.

This past weekend, I finally made it to the library to get a library card and joined the Buncombe County Library System.

Guess what I got in the mail today? I am ready to snuggle up with a childhood favorite and some classic Yankee Candles.  Thank you Mal, for the amazing package.  It was a welcome surprise

Puppy Therapy

Today, I decided to visit the pet adoption event in Asheville.  These cuties are lab/husky mix.  There is a local group that volunteers to take the shelter dogs hiking in the area mountains.  The program is called Hiking Hounds.

Busted!

After making it 2.5 years of driving and parking in the Boston area, I get to Asheville and my car was hit within 2 days of moving in.  Thankfully, no one was injured and my car was parked when it was hit.  Unfortunately, I didn't see it happen, but the person who hit my car did leave their details with my neighbors.  Living in the south and knowing your neighbors has some great benefits (besides being called tadpole).  Dealing with the insurance company was the last thing I wanted to do at the end of my first day of work, but there I was on the phone with my insurer and later the police.  Hopefully this will get fixed by the end of the weekend and Esmerelda (my car) will be back to her sassy self.
